Sometimes. It's a little formal, so mostly only with strangers, or maybe coworkers you don't know very well.
It's a very common opening dialogue when speaking to cashiers, customer service, etc.
I use the following to greet coworkers I'm on good terms with. They're more casual, but personally I don't really use them with close friends.
"Hey how's it going?"
"Good, how about yourself?"
