"Weekend temu" is grammatically correct, but I'd rather recommend "w ostatni weekend". The phrase " tydzień temu" and similar uses "time unit" + "temu (ago)", e.g.: "rok temu", "dekadę temu". To me "weekend" is closer in usage to week days, such as Monday, Tuesday, but others may argue. "Poniedziałek temu" sounds wrong, but "kilka poniedziałków temu" sounds good again. Go figure!
