Notice a pattern here...be sure to use "I" when describing an action you're doing. Only time a verb alone can work is if it's succeeding a previous verb. So like, "I like to read and write." or "I like dancing, moving, singing."

After that I cleaned the house, and then lieI lay down for a bit. After that I cleaned the house and then I lay down for a bit.

The verb conjugations for "lie" are lie, lay, has lain. "To lie" takes no direct object. People often confuse "lie" with "lay" which does take a direct object. Its verb conjugations are lay, laid, has laid. Examples Note: These next three sentences have no direct objects. (present tense) I lie down. (past tense) I lay down. (past perfect) I have lain down.
