I think Social Media made us more lonely, because it made us all stay in our rooms, scroll on TikTok or Instagram and text to eachother instead of meet in person. An argument against this could be that you are more connected to people even if they are far away. That‘s true but I think it also makes us think that we don‘t have to go out and meet people in real live anymore even though that‘s still very important.

This is actually incorrect, when you're listing things out the correct grammatical strucutre is that the verbs all agree in their form. So in this case we have
"... it made us all STAY in our rooms, SCROLL on Tiktok or Instagram and TEXT each other..."
Imagine each verb in the list finishing the clause that started it. "Because it made us scroll on Tiktok..." "Because it made us stay in our rooms" "Because it made us text each other"
Then compare that to the present progressive version with "-ing" "Because it made us scrolling on TikTok" That doesn't quite sound right, even though it does feel more natural to use the present progressive with scrolling and texting, but in this case it isn't correct.
