I assume you mean "big", "large" == "groß" and not "rough", "rude", "gruff" == "grob" ... Katze = either generic or a female cat. Since you're calling the cat Peter and referring to it as "him" down the track it needs to be "Kater", "tomcat".

"Leib" is a noun and means body.

I assume you mean "big", "large" == "groß" and not "rough", "rude", "gruff" == "grob" ... Katze = either generic or a female cat. Since you're calling the cat Peter and referring to it as "him" down the track it needs to be "Kater", "tomcat".
I do actually mean rude here. We called him a rude cat for being loud all day. Thanks for the cat part for sure, though.

"grob" still isn't the best word in that case, though, as rude is least commonly used meaning; in this situation unhöflich or ungezogen would be better choices.
