I have to say summer is my absolute favorite.
I'm a total beach person—growing up in Taiwan.
Every summer vacation I drive to the coast.
I love everything about it: cold iced mango juice after walking in the sun, staying up late with friends to watch fireworks on the beach, and getting a soft tan after a day out.
Even sudden summer rainstorms are fun—you just hide under a bustop and wait for it to pass, and then the whole city smells like jasmine.
It's just full of energy and good memories, how can you not love it?

I don't think these 2 ideas are clearly linked, and the second half is not fully developed. It would sound better to split this into sentences, with more detail on your second idea.
Eg. "I'm a total beach person. Growing up in Taiwan, I went to the beach a lot."
