The selected respondents constitute what is technically referred to as a "sample." The chosen respondents should be as representative as possible of the entire population in order to produce a cross-sectional snapshot (Kothari, 2004, p.55). The study population will consist of grade 12 students at Escola Secundaria de Ponta-Gea, including both male and female students, as well as English teachers.
