Jerusalem artichoke

Hello everyone!

Today I want to tell you about a food that I prepared and tried a couple of days ago and that I really liked: Jerusalem artichokes.

Jerusalem artichokes are a tuber, just like potatoes, but they have a very peculiar plant: the flower looks like a sunflower, but it's smaller, whereas the tuber (the edible part) has a darker color and it tastes like... hazelnuts!

Jerusalem artichokes can be eaten raw or cooked. I decided to fry them in a pan with olive oil and minced garlic. At the end I added some salt, some black pepper and some minced parsley.

It was delicious!

Ciao a tutti!
