I Learned a New Word "Boardwalk" (15)
I learned the new word "boardwalk" and I'd like to use it.
There's a nice park that has a big pond near my house, and there's a boardwalk on the pond.
I like to walk on it.
However, sometimes I think what if I drop my phone in the water.
I've actually once dropped my camera in the ocean about 10 years ago.
At that time, I had to give up the camera.
Since then every time I walk on the boardwalk in the pond or reiver, I remember that.

Your "boardwalk" is the one you can see in the gallery section of this wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boardwalk which is a path made of boards used for walking over water.
More commonly in the US, "boardwalk" will mean a section of waterfront in a city which is full of entertainment and tourist attractions. For example, the Santa Cruz Boardwalk in California even has a roller coaster on it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boardwalk_(entertainment_district)

Thank you so much for your correction! And thank you for explaining and sharing the information. In the picture, the boardwalk is a different one from one I wanted to say. I wanted to say something like narrow road/path that is made of wood. Sometimes, you can see it over a pond or lake or damp areas. But at least, I learned the boardwalk you showed me. Thank you!
