The sentence is correct but I don't understand what you mean? Do you say that you should be part of a party to participate to the Labour day, but that it is hard for people to pretend to form a real party?

It's a detail, but "maintenant" is more often used by contrast to a previous situation:
Avant je faisais la vaisselle, mais maintenant je travaille. Before I was washing the dishes, but now I am working.

By the way, it is also a nicer thing to say as "Merci de lire ce texte / Merci de lire attentivement" which sounds like an order or a formal instruction. (Please read this text, please read this text carefully").

The word "m' " (me) makes it more personal.
