業者は私に客が電話しそうから私は客が私に電話するだろう、と言われた。

However, it seems a little confusing to grasp the meaning.
(有料ですので）料金を払ってください。
客に電話するよりメ－るを書くのールを送るほうが好きです。
メールを書く is also correct, but メールを送る seems to have a better collocation.
