我有空時很喜歡逛一個論壇，就是 Reddit 上的 r/HobbyDrama。這個論壇的目的就是討論發生在不同興趣愛好中的八卦瑣事，提到的內容超級廣泛，比如說花式溜冰、真人秀節目、沙龍香水等都有。這個論壇的特徵就是每位發文人都花了很多心思來描述發生了什麼，彷彿真的在寫報導一樣，即使你對那個興趣一無所知也會看得很投入。
這個論壇的目的就是專門討論發生在不同興趣愛好領域中的八卦瑣事/趣聞，提到的內容超級廣泛，比如說花式溜冰、真人秀節目、沙龍香水等都有。
*八卦趣聞 is an option. :)
這個論壇的特徵色就是每位發文人都花了很多心思來描述發生了什麼，彷彿真的在寫報導/報新聞一樣，即使你對那個興趣一無所知也會看得很投入。
特徵是指外表讓人可清楚辨識的地方, 如: 那個人的特徵是: 短髮染成金黃色 。

I'm originally from Hong Kong! I immigrated to the US when I was younger. I can speak Cantonese but I couldn't really read or write in Chinese until I started learning it again last year.

No wonder! :) I guess you immigrated to the US when you were a kid or teenager?
Writing well isn't easy even if you are a native speaker. :)
But if you can speak Chinese, it is easier for you to read and write when you are willing to try. :)

Yep, when I was 10!
It definitely took less time than I thought! I was able to read books again after a couple of months of study, though I still have to look up words sometimes.

A 10 year-old kid can learn any language naturally quickly. Did you feel that way when you learned English at 10? :)
I've heard that Asian kids learn English in the US quickly. They can even help other white kids with English writing after they learn English for a while. Is it true? :)
You will sound like a native soon if you keep practicing. Keep going! :D

Definitely! Being in an environment where everyone speaks English to me really helped. I wouldn't say I'm better but I'm definitely just as good.
