I originally planned to visit a s{Spring fFestival | New Year’s} market today, but I was still a little bit tired so I gave up.

Feedback

Your original is fine, but “spring festival market” does sound awkward (many festivals include markets, so the two terms sound redundant unless the reader already knows that “Spring Festival” is a Chinese term for what we call “Chinese New Year” in the West), so I suggest replacing “spring festival” in your sentence.

谢谢!

但是春节不完全等同于Chinese New Year啊。

我懂你的意思,但是虽然“春节”不完全等同于“新年”,可是我觉得在西方 “Chinese New Year” 这个名词涵盖整个春节。

I originally planned ton visiting a spring festival market today, but I was still a little bit tired so I gave up.

"Planned to visit" isn't wrong, but I think it sounds a little more natural this way.

It makes more sense for you to be visiting a festival celebrating the beginning of spring than a “spring market festival”. While the festival may have been similar to a market, with vendors selling things at stalls, if it is called a festival, you should refer to it as a festival.

This sentence is very close to natural sounding!
