I agree with the other commenter, "edit" here is not clear. If you mean "change" your house in some way, I think you should be specific, like "tidying up", "moving around the furniture", "decorating", etc.

You would use "the bar" if there's only one bar, and use "a cafe" vs "the cafe" because you hadn't referenced it yet.
