Yesterday, I took part in an English club to brush up my English skills and know other learners' level as well. If I find my skills are poorer than others, it would make me feel embarrassed and stimulate my motivation. It also works if it was the opposite situation since I would be confident in myself.
Most attendees appeared to be in their 30s or 40s. They had studied abroad in their university days or working holiday. They told me that they forgot words and phrases due to the lack of opportunities to speak in English. Fortunately, I have sufficient opportunities to communicate with native speakers at work and still in my 20s. Even though my English skills were same as theirs, I could be more fluent if I study hard since today.
