Egypt is a big player in the Bible.
Unfortunately, it's mostly gets portrayed as a villain.
If you have read the Book of Exodus, you'll be familiar with the story of how the Hebrews were enslaved by the Egyptians.
In the rest of the story, Egypt takes a bit of a back seat and leaves the Israelites alone.
The main part of Egypt is located in northeastern Africa.
The Sinai Peninsula, which is part of Asia, is part of Egypt.
Since 3000 BC the Egyptian people have created many wonders of the world, such as the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.
Each year these wonders attract millions of visitors from all over the world.
There is a cave church in Egypt where Jesus is said to have taken refuge during his escape.
