English-Chinese Bilingual Chats on Teams

I've found it hard to keep track of several English-Chinese bilingual chats with a young friend. Maybe it's due to the app - WeChat can get a bit too casual and cluttered.

That's why I've decided to move these conversations to Microsoft Teams for a more dedicated space.

You’re welcome. But I’m still wondering what you mean by “found it hard to keep track of“….

Is it only one friend? In that case I wouldn't say it's "several" chats.

I’m not sure what you mean by “keep track.” Do you mean you’ve forgotten about or missed several sessions? If so, I’d suggest something like: “I keep losing track of an ongoing English–Chinese bilingual chat that a young friend and I have had for the past few months.” Also, I might omit “young,” since the friend’s age is probably beside the point and including it here could come across as condescending.

A dash, not a hyphen, is needed here.

This is a perfect place for an em-dash. :-)

Since “chat” and “conversation” can refer to both spoken and written communication, I would add “spoken” or “oral” to clarify that you plan to speak rather than type during these sessions.

“Us” isn’t absolutely necessary, but it feels natural to me.

An en-dash is perfect for ranges.
