10 Kinds of Flowers I Saw on the Mountains on Saturday

I went hiking with my friends again on Saturday.

This time, we ran into a small snag. The road wasn't as clear on the map app, so we had to hike one more mountain to reach the trailhead.

Finally, we finished with a length of 15 km and a cumulative ascent of 900 meters. We couldn't have any leisure time to dig wild vegetables as usual, but we saw more kinds of flowers.

I chose ten of them to share with you: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PTcD3TMnq1s

I didn't narrate the video because I found music that I listened to like my feelings in the mountains.

Hope you feel the same joy.

Finally, we finished with a lengthdistance of 15 km and a {cumulative ascent | total elevation gain} of 900 meters.

“Elevation gain” is the standard hiking term in the U.S., but “cumulative ascent” is perfectly understandable.

The road wasn't as clear on the map app, so we had to hike one morever another mountain to reach the trailhead. The road wasn't as clear on the map app, so we had to hike over another mountain to reach the trailhead.

The road wasn't as clearly marked (?) on the map app, so we had to hike one morever a (?) mountain to reach the trailhead. The road wasn't clearly marked (?) on the map app, so we had to hike over a (?) mountain to reach the trailhead.

The road (trail? way?) wasn't as clear on the map app, so we had to hike one more mountain to reach (return to?) the trailhead. The road (trail? way?) wasn't clear on the map app, so we had to hike one more mountain to reach (return to?) the trailhead.

“Road” sounds like you were hiking on a road for cars, not a hiking trail. If you mean “road” in the figurative sense, you could say “the way.” “As” doesn’t work here because it implies a comparison (“as clear as [something]”), but you haven’t said what you’re comparing it to. If you returned to the trailhead where you started, I would change “reach” to “return to.”

Finally, we finished with a length of 15 km and a cumulative ascent of 900 meters.

Finally, we finished with a lengthdistance of 15 km and a cumulative ascent of 900 meters. Finally, we finished with a distance of 15 km and a cumulative ascent of 900 meters.

km is the unit for measuring distance. Miles too, but that's the American metric system.

Finally, we finished with a lengthdistance of 15 km and a cumulative ascent of 900 meters. Finally, we finished with a distance of 15 km and a cumulative ascent of 900 meters.

Finally, we finished with a length of 15 km and a cumulative ascentthe hike after covering a distance of 15 km and an ascent/elevation gain of 900 meters. Finally, we finished the hike after covering a distance of 15 km and an ascent/elevation gain of 900 meters.

Finally, we finished with a lengthdistance of 15 km and a {cumulative ascent | total elevation gain} of 900 meters. Finally, we finished with a distance of 15 km and a {cumulative ascent | total elevation gain} of 900 meters.

We couldn't have any leisure time to dig wild vegetables as usual, but we saw more kinds of flowers.

We couldidn't have any leisure time to dig for wild vegetables as we usually had done, but we saw moreany kinds of flowers. We didn't have any leisure time to dig for wild vegetables as we usually had done, but we saw many kinds of flowers.

We couldidn't have any leisure time to dig for wild vegetables as we usually do, but we saw more kindvarieties of flowers. We didn't have any leisure time to dig for wild vegetables as we usually do, but we saw more varieties of flowers.

We couldidn't have any leisure time to dig wild vegetables as usual, but we saw more kinds of flowers. We didn't have any leisure time to dig wild vegetables as usual, but we saw more kinds of flowers.

We couldidn't have any leisure time to dig for wild vegetables as usual, but we saw moreany kinds/types of flowers. We didnt have any leisure time to dig for wild vegetables as usual, but we saw many kinds/types of flowers.

We couldidn't have any leisure time to dig wild vegetables, as we usually would have done, but we saw moreany kinds of flowers. We didn't have any leisure time to dig wild vegetables, as we usually would have done, but we saw many kinds of flowers.

The problem with “as usual” is that it could mean “as usual, we didn’t have time to dig wild vegetables.” “More” feels odd because we don’t know what you’re comparing it to (more than what/when?). But if you assume your readers know you mean “additional kinds, beyond those I mentioned last time,” then it’s OK. Here’s an alternative wording: “Normally, we would have stopped to dig wild vegetables, but we didn’t have time for this; however, we did see many kinds of flowers.”
