916 Tea Garden is located in Shucheng town, Shucheng County, Anhui province. Back in 1958, on September 16, Great leader Chairman Mao Zedong inspected this tea garden. This tea garden was then owned by the Shucheng people’s commune. Chairman Mao affirmed their work and told them to be sure to open more tea gardens on the hillside. To keep in mind Chairman Mao’s entrustment, this tea garden was named 916 Tea Garden. Later, leaders at all levels made this tea garden better and better, and now, it has become a 4A-level scenic spot.
