Insurance Fees for Electric Vehicles

When I was travelling in Vancouver a few months ago. My friend drove me using his Tesla Model 3; he complained that the insurance fee for Tesla was profoundly high, which was nearly CAD$ 500 a month after the discount. Although he has been working in an insurance company for a few years, he cannot afford the living expenses perfectly. He said the salary for most people who were living in the city was under 3000, and maintaining a comfortable life was quite a challenge. The young generations prefer EVs, even though the insurance fee is much higher than that of traditional gasoline vehicles. However, he didn't want to see the litres and dollars scrolling up on the pump at the gas stations, so he bought a Tesla. To be honest, I even cannot afford a Tesla, so his financial condition is better than mine.

I moved part of this sentence to the first sentence, which then sounded more complete. (I don't drive very much, and this seems like such a high insurance premium!)

Mmy friend drove me around using his Tesla Model 3; he complained that the insurance fee for Tesla was profoundly high, which was nearly CAD$ 500 a month after thea discount., was profoundly high my friend drove me around using his Tesla Model 3; he complained that the insurance fee for Tesla, which was nearly CAD$ 500 a month after a discount, was profoundly high

Although he has been working in an insurance company for a few years, he cannot afford the living expenses perfectly.

Although he has been working in an insurance company for a few years, he cannot afford theall his living expenses perfectly. Although he has been working in an insurance company for a few years, he cannot afford all his living expenses.

Another phrasing to use here would be "he cannot afford his basic living expenses" but that gives the impression he might not be able to afford rent and food when he seems to be doing okay enough to pay for a Tesla and his insurance premium.

Although he has been working inat an insurance company for a few years, he cannot afford thehis living expenses perfecteasily. Although he has been working at an insurance company for a few years, he cannot afford his living expenses easily.

Normally salaries are given as a yearly salary, so it may be better to specify here.

If this post was about seeing Vancouver, and your friend drove you around the city, I think "drove me" would be the better verb to use. Since this is mostly about the Tesla Model 3, I think it sounds better to my ear that you rode around in the Tesla.

When I was travelling in Vancouver a few months ago., When I was travelling in Vancouver a few months ago,
