031801 - An email about curriculum schedule

****would you love to help me correct this email writing to a professor? Thanks****

Dear Prof. Huang,

I am Tana Gao in MSCS-22-Fall program, and so glad to know that you are my advisor! I am writing to ask about the curriculum schedule.

As my undergraduate major in sociology, and I have not learned basic computer courses systematically, I am on the 36-credits track. But I learned some web development knowledge and had a short internship in front-end development. I hope to work in the US in the Internet industry for some time after graduation. What do you think to choose courses will be properly?

And before I arrive at Hoboken, what should I do to understand computer science better? Would you love to recommend some books or courses for me? I would appreciate it.

Best wishes,
Tana Gao

you can "have knowledge", but to "learn knowledge" sounds awkward.
If you wanted to keep "learned", "I learned web development and" would be the correction.

I hope to work in the US in the Internettech industry for some time after graduation.

There is no 'internet industry' as a term in english, its a field that falls under the umbrella terms of "tech industry" or "web technologies".

What do you think to choose courses will be properlywould be the proper courses to choose?

And before I arrive at Hoboken, what should I do to better understand computer science better?

sounds slightly more natural than before

Would you love toDo have any recommend somed books or courses for me?

I wonder...is it an honorific sentence pattern to a professor? I don't want to be casual for the first impression.

if you like to be less forward to the professor, you could use "Would you be willing to reccomend..." but because they are your advisor, this request should be expected to be fulfilled. So I used "Do you have any recommended..."
