030501- Saturday Sidelights

This week I usually spent one hour each day on LangCorrect, one third of time to amend my entires, twenty minutes to correct others' Chinese journals, and the other time to write a new one. Today I was so tired to review my Friday writing, but tomorrow I would do it. Thanks for all people who have helped me strengthen writing capacity.

Today I submitted my homework for business English course. I am delighted to have a chance to share my thought with the classmates by oral presentation next Wednesday. It also meant that I finally had time for a gentle stroll. The new park was so incredible that many people were flying kites and various flowers were also blooming. I love spring.

Not sure what you mean by sidelights here.

This week I usually spent onespent about an hour each day on LangCorrect,: one third of the time to amendreview my entiries, twenty minutes to correct others' Chinese journals, and the other time to write a new onewrite a new one in the time left.

One third of one hour is twenty minutes, so I'm not sure what you mean by "one third of time" here.
What do you mean by "amend" here? I assume you meant review. To amend is more like to rewrite.

Today I was stoo tired to review my Friday writing, but tomorrow I would do itI'm going to do it tomorrow.

030501- Saturday Sidelights

我想表达“随手记录(散记)”,词典里我发现sidelight有这样一个意思:A sidelight on a particular situation is a piece of information about that situation which is interesting but which is not particularly important.

2.yeah, "review" is better

Sidelights - yeah, there should be a better word. I would probably call it "ramblings", though that may come off a bit self-deprecating. There should be other words, but I'm drawing a blank, sorry.

If you want to switch up the time phrases, what about adding "another" to the "twenty minutes"? "One third of that time I ...., another twenty minutes I...." That way it's clearer.

It's a bit of a jump because there's the other sentence in between. I would say “After submitting the homework, I finally had time..." or "Submitting the homework gave me time..." to tie it back together.

ItTaking a break also meant that I finally had time for a gentle stroll.

It wasn't clear what "it" was referring to.

The new park was so incredible that many people were flying kites and various flowers were also blooming.

Grammar is correct, but "flowers were also blooming" suggests that the flowers are in the process of blooming (opening up) right now, whereas you mean to say that they had already bloomed. A more natural way to say it is "many flowers had bloomed" or, more poetically, "many flowers were in full bloom".

I love spring.
