테스트 문장 1 (Test sentences 1)

I tried writing some test sentences in Korean (for practising grammar points I'm learning) and would be grateful for any feedback! 감사합니다 :)

1. 공책에 연필으로 쓰지 않는데 펜으로 써요
(I don't use a pencil in my notebook, but I use a pen)

2. 집 근처에 슈퍼이 있는데 버스로 아직 타야 해요
(There's a supermarket near my house, but I still have to take the bus)

3. 집 근처에 무엇이 있어요?
집 근처에 예쁜 공원이 있고 그 공원에서 산책 하러 좋아해요
(What's near your house?
There's a pretty park near my house and I like to walk there)

I just changed as little as possible what you created and that's good enough!
I'm giving you other options that I feel more familiar with.
공책에 연필은 쓰지않고 펜을 써요.
공책에 연필대신 펜을 써요.

(I don't use a pencil in my notebook, but I use a pen)

2. 집 근처에 슈퍼이가 있는데지만 버스~~로 아직 타~~를 타고 가야 해요

아직 is not proper in this sentence. Instead, I put 지만 :)

(There's a supermarket near my house, but I still have to take the bus)

3. 집 근처에 무엇이 있어요?

집 근처에 예쁜 공원이 있고 그 공원에서 산책 하러는 것을 좋아해요

or 그 공원에 산책하러 가는 것을 좋아해요

좋아해요 is verb, and needs objective.
산책하러 is not a noun form, so I changed to ~것 :)

(What's near your house? There's a pretty park near my house and I like to walk there)

I forgot that I’m not supposed to use 으 if the word already ends in ㄹ, haha. But hopefully I’ll remember next time.

Thank you for the other options too! Would you say it’s more common to say 펜을 써요 rather than 펜으로 써요? Would I use 으로 if I was particularly talking about or emphasising that the pen is the ‘tool’ I’m using?

2. 집 근처에 슈퍼이가 있는데지만 버스~~로 아직 타~~를 타고 가야 해요

I see, thank you! Please could I ask what’s the difference between ‘ 버스를 타고 가야 해요’ and ‘ 버스를 타야 해요’? I’m understanding it like the first is taking a bus and having to go, and the second is having to take a bus…? Would either one work for my meaning here?

I think both are common! actually I don't find noticeable difference.. I would say both are interchangeable.

Hmm... both are almost same and interchangeable cuz"버스를 타야해요" already implies that you take a bus (to go somewhere). but I think "버스를 타고 가야해요" is saying "You go to that place", too. I feel like "버스를 타야해요" is more focusing on means of transportation.

I'm annoyed at myself for that 슈퍼 mistake! :'(

Thanks for showing me '여전히'! Can I also ask - is 로 not used in this case, then? Or would it also be acceptable instead of 를 for the mode of transport?

Thank you! Is it quite common to have the adjective form before '것' for things one likes to do?

And with the deletion of 서... Would I have it if my sentence was like '친구하고 공원에서 산책해요' (so, the park is the location I am doing something, whereas in my original sentence, I'm just saying that I like talking a walk in the park)? Or is it simply not necessary in cases like this? :)

n-으로/로 is "by using", so you wouldn't use 타다(to take) with 으로/로 :).

친구하고 공원에서 산책하는 것을 좋아해요 would work :)
