色弱について
先日ここのコメントで色弱ということをちょっと話しました。それはいいトピックかもしれないと思うので、今日はそれについて少し話すつもりです。ほとんどの人は色盲ということを知っているのですが、色弱ということの方が多分知っている人が少ないと思いますね。私は色弱があります。いくつかの組み合わせは特別に見分けにくいですよね。黄と緑とか、青と紫とか、赤と茶色とか、純色でない限り、あまり見分けられません。 「どうやって運転できるの？」と聞かれると、私は「上中下弱じゃないよ」と冗談で答えましたね。（笑）
The other day, I have briefly talked about semi-color blindness in one of the comment here. I thought it would make a good topic, so I would like to talk a little bit about it today. I think most people are familiar with the term color-blind, but not as many people know about color-weakness. I have color-weakness myself. I have a hard time distinguishing between several particular pairings of colors, such as yellow and green, blue and purple, red and brown, unless they are in their purest form, I usually cannot distinguish between them. When people ask me, "how are you able to drive?" I would jokingly answer, "Well, I am not top-middle-bottom blind!"

Thanks! I still find the idea of という is still not natural to me, like i can't quite convert it to my other languages to make good sense of it. For example, i would most instinctively just convert it to 色盲を知っている without all the extra things! So I am still getting used to that.
It is interesting that you brought up Universal Design, I looked it up and it is basically the idea of color-blind/color-friendly mode that we often choose for games. For example, many board games nowadays would draw symbols along with colors so that players can tell which card is which even if they have problems with color. And in information technology, we often have to consider this for web accessibility for user friendliest, e.g. self descriptive symbol instead of words/colors.
