Lately, I've been pretty curious about tea from my parents' point of view. I tried asking my mom for her take, but as it turns out, she was apparently never that into tea beyond the customary cups at church or in restaurant; rather, it was my dad who was the aficionado.
So whenever I'm looking for insight, the best I can do is to just observe the remnants of a tea lover and wonder about the anecdotes. A pantry scattered with those old teapots and cups varying in size and shape. Two kitchen cabinets' worth of near-empty bags dating back 20+ years. The other day by our piano I found what appears to be a Taiwanese red clay teapot still in its silk-lined box, unused. And there's a kitchen drawer that at some (more recent) point in time was cleared out entirely for a full cake of compressed tea leaves, now a half-moon in perpetuity. Neither of us have any idea what kind it is. My best guess is Pu-erh.

Are「多學習」「多創作」 what you inspire people to keep learning and creating?
If you want to express the opposite opinion of your father (your father likes tea, but your mother doesn't)
By the way, can 'rather' be replaced by 'conversely'?

如此
所以當我想了解爸爸對品茶的認識和研究時,我所能做的只是觀察一個愛茶人所留下的茶具 (the things he left and wonder about all that he could possibly tell me).,並且想知道過去那些有趣的故事。¶

I supplemented michael122's answer.
I think 'insight' here is not easy to translate, it's better to specify what it is in Mandarin.
The things he left is tea set, right? If so, here the translation of 'tea pot' is.
'anecdotes' in Chinese is 趣聞 or 軼事, but i think both of 2 are kind of formal. It's up to a writer's style.

What "Insight" specifically did you want to get? Is that what kind of tea your dad likes?
I didn't get what does "a half-moon in perpetuity" mean. Is that an idiom?
