我個人覺得「哎呀」不適合用在這裡。「唉」或「唉呀」可能會好一點。

「唉呀」則為嘆詞，用來表示驚訝或痛苦、惋惜的語氣。如：「唉呀！我把我的錢包弄丟了！」

我有一個大項目需要我好好準備一些材料。重大的專案/報告/專題研究，須要我好好準備/須要我準備一些資料

1.大項目 doesn't really make sense; it seems like a direct translation from the English phrase "big project." Depending on your intended meaning, a more natural and common way to express "big project" in Chinese would be 重大的專案, 重要的報告, or 重要的專題研究.

2. In standard Mandarin grammar, 需要 typically comes before nouns, while 須要 is usually placed before a verb. However, the distinction is very minor since they sound the same in speech. Also, many native speakers now use them interchangeably in written language.

需要+noun: 我需要你的幫忙。(I need your help.)
須要+verb: 要成功，你須要保持耐心。(To succeed, you need to be patient.)

3.材料 also seems unnatural here. If you replace it with 資料 I think it sounds better.
