日記（第５７番）：マクドナルドの割引

シンガポールでは、マクドナルドのアプリをダウンロードすると、どんな割引を手に入れます。一番好きな割引は、火曜日の午後３時から５時まで、何かを買うと、ホットファッジサンデーというデザートを無料でもらえます。すごく値打ちがあると思います。でも、値打ちがない割引もあるので、気をつけないといけません。例えば、普通に、チキンバーガーは２ドルで、アプリを使うと、１．６０ドルになります。でも、何かを買わないとこの割引が手に入れられません。最も安い食べ物はバニラアイスです。８０セントの値がついているので、これを買って、割引を使うと、元の２ドルの注文は２．４０ドルになってしまいます。その残りの40セントは、最初から欲しくないバニラアイスなので、それを買ったら、マクドナルドの勝ちかなと思います。

Diary Entry #56: McDonald's Discounts
In Singapore, when you download the McDonald's App, you receive all sorts of discounts. My most favourite discount is one where during 3pm to 5pm on Tuesdays, you can get a free hot fudge sundae with any purchase. I think that it is very worth the money. However, there are also discounts that are not worth it, so one must watch out. For example, usually, a chicken burger would cost 2 dollars, but if you use the application, it would only cost $1.60. However, if you do not buy something else, you will not be able to receive this discounted item. The cheapest food item is the vanilla cone. It is priced at 80 cents, so if you purchase it and use the discount, the order that used to be $2 now costs $2.40. The remaining 40 cents comes from the vanilla ice cream that you initially did not want, so if you purchase it, I think that McDonald's has won from the discount instead of you.
