Today, I was with my mom in her office. A female colleague was looking for someone, but the person wasn't on seat. My mom's office door was open, so she came in to ask some questions. Few minutes later, they both exchanged phone numbers. After she left, I told her I admired her communication skills. But she said she used to be like me—not very talkative. But she'd learned this skill.
