好久没见！

去年我在这个网站上写了一些记录。从那以后，我的学习进度慢了很多，不过，我还是每天学一点。

我的中文学习主要是通过抽认卡，比如，我的手机里有一个App，可以显示一个汉字，让我记住它的意思。我也有一个App，这个App会给我一些短文，然后我可以回答一些问题并做汉字练习。最后，我差不多每周都会跟一个网上的汉语老师学习中文。我觉得她的课很有用，但我希望我可以更频繁地跟她学习。甚至在我们不定期的课程下，我的发音改进了很多。

这种学习方式效率不高，所以我的进步比较慢。最有效的方法是跟母语人士交流、看和听中文节目、看中文书等等。因为我是博士生，最近我非常忙，因为我快要发表我的研究成果了。这整个过程并不轻松。我希望在博士学最后的一年里，我可以学习和练习更多中文。我的梦想是毕业后能去中国旅行。

Long time, no see!

Last year I posted some entries on this website. Since then, I have spent much less time studying Chinese, though I do still study at least a little bit every day.

My main method for studying Chinese is with flashcards. I have an app on my phone that shows the characters so I can remember them. I also have another app that has short passages in Chinese. After reading the passages, I can answer short questions about the content and do some Chinese character exercises. Finally, I have been studying with a Chinese tutor online almost every week. Her lessons are very helpful, but I wish I could take them more often. Even with the limited time, I think my pronunciation has improved a lot.

This limited studying is not very effective, so I have been improving very slowly. The most effective method would be to talk to native speakers more often, watch and listen to Chinese programs, read Chinese books, etc. Because I am a PhD student, I have been very busy recently trying to publish some of my work. This process has not been very relaxing. I hope to have more time to study Chinese in the last year of my PhD. My dream now is to go vacation in China after I graduate, if I have the time.
