In America, we have St. Patrick's Day. It is on March 17th every year.
St. Patrick was a saint who lived in Ireland, so it's an Irish holiday. However, Americans also celebrate it.
Every St. Patrick's Day, everybody wears green because it is lucky. If you don't wear green, people will pinch you!
People eat corned beef because it's an Irish dish. Some people like to drink beer. I don't like to drink beer. I will drink green tea.
In Chicago, they dye the Chicago River green! Many cities have parades, but everybody is not having a parade this year because of COVID-19. Maybe next year!
It's more natural this way:
In Chinese you don't say "穿 + color". Also, 侥幸 means the kind of "lucky" as when you did something bad but got away with it.
The original sentence sounds weird.
The structure "dye + something + color" is forbidden in Chinese.
这年 refers to a year in the distance (usually in the past). It never refers to the current year.
