I wanted to say that I think you are a very nice person, but I was afraid it might sound offensive in some way, because there were so many different vocabulary words to choose from. O_O But, I really appreciate your corrections and your sweet comment, so thank you!

Also, I was wondering, is it normal to use a person's name so much when refering to them?
I know that in 日本語 it is rude and impolite to use "you" or「あなた/君」to refer to someone that you are not close to.

When it comes to something can be offensive or not, I can say that same things happen in every country when people don’t respect its culture or the person.
In my opinion, It’s not only language barriers, but also (or more) politeness and thoughtfulness. :)

The answer is Yes.
Everything you say is right, but there are some exceptions.
For Example,
1. あなたis often used to call husbands by wives. ( often used by old married couples)
2. あなた/君is used in novels or poems. We feel they’re beautiful expression.
3. 君is sometimes used by boss. They use it both when they compliment you and blame you.

どうもありがとうございます！I can't even really express in words how much I appreciate what you've just said, and that you think that of me.
I have been really blessed in my life, to have parents who have raised me so that I can dream so freely.
I'm really lucky, and I can't really take credit for who I am today because of everything I have been given in life.
