लटकना(v)/लटकाना(v) – Hang ¶

Just remember that लटकना means hanging onself and लटकाना is hanging other objects.

मैं पेड़ पे से लटकता हूँ - I hang from the tree
मैं चित्र दीवार पे लटकता हूँ - I hang the photo on the wall

केक के ऊपर मलाई को पेस्ट/डोप करलगाना ही बाक़ी है.

Grammatically, this sentence is correct. However, most native speakers (especially ones in cities) can directly interpret "मलाई" as the raw cream formed over milk and not something you'd put on a cake. In which case, we would just use the English word.

[I have hung a colourful bulb on the fan in my room in my house]. You should use "लटकाना" because an object is being hung by you.
