Rice's Whereabouts

While we are asked to voluntarily refrain from going out, my wife and I are getting fat. Our staple food is rice, but she said she'd change it to potato and cabbage. I objected her plan, yet she forcibly conducted it. To be surprised, my potbelly is getting flat. I didn't think I can live without rice, but I found I can.
I saw some people buying some dozens killograms of rice at a grocery store and rice was disappeared from a display rack last month. I'm wondering if they can eat up that rice, especially by summer. Japanese summer is so muggy and hot that rice often goes bad unless it's put in a fridge. Some of them were the eldery around 80. I think they have a so big family, othewise, they won't be able to eat up that tons of rice within this year.
I think those who got fat are not only our couple but some other people. I wish those who stocked up rice don't dump its unused rice into Mt. Fuji. Illegal dumping around Mt. Fuji has been still conducted by people and companies.

Rice's WhereaboutsWhere to Find Rice

While we are being asked to voluntarily refrain from going out, my wife and I are getting fat.

Our staple food is rice, but she said she'd change it to potato and cabbage.

I objected to her plan, yet she forcibly conducted it.

The verb “object” is followed by “to” when it’s being done to something else. So you could say either “I objected, yet she ...” or “I objected to her plan, yet she...”

To bemy surprised, my potbelly is getting flatflattening.

Or “is going down”. “Getting flat” isn’t really wrong, but it sounds a little unnatural.

I didn't think I canould live without rice, but I’ve found I can.

I think the reason this should be “could” not “can” is to do with the subjunctive. Have you heard of it? It’s very confusing and strange. If you know how to use the word “would”, then the use of “could” is similar. Here’s another way of saying the same thing: “I didn’t think I would be able to live without rice”.

This discovery happened over a period of time, so use “I’ve”.

I saw some people buying some dozens of killograms of rice at a grocery store and rice washad disappeared from a display rack last month.

I'm wondering if they can eat up that rice, especially by summer.

I'm wondering if they can eat up all that rice, especially by summer.

I think they have a sovery big family, otherwise, they won't be able to eat up that tons ofmuch rice within this year.

To bemy surprised, my potbelly is getting flat.

I didn't think I canould live without rice, but I found out that I can.

I'm wondering if they can eat up that rice people who bought that rice can eat it up, especially by summer.

Some of them people were the eldery aroundly, in their 80s.

I think they have a so big family, otherwise, they wouldn't be able to eat up that tonsamount of rice within thise year.
