Several years ago, I tried to memorize phrasal verbs on my Englih dictionary, but there were so many verbs and those verbs had so many meanings resepectively that I gave up memorizing soon. I'm now reading English books for children. I read 10 books in the past 6 months. I found the same phrasal verbs were repeatedly on books. Also, I found those were used in fixed meanings respectively. For example, "take up" has more than 10 meanings on my dictionary, but on these books I read, it was used only in a few meanings.
The books are for children around the age of 10. If I read books for adult, I might see these phrasal verbs in other meanings. I have more 5 books for children to read. I plan to read up these books until the end of August. I bought Bridget Jones's Diary novel for the next step but found it was very difficult for me to understand the words. I know the story since I watched the movie, still the words are very difficult. But I'll try to read it to take a step forward.

assuming you mean to finish them by the end of the August, rather than that you mean to continue reading until the end of August and then stop even though you might not have read them all.

Good work! Another idea would be to try to read YA (young adult) books as a intermediate step, before leaping to a book for adults. For example, the Harry Potter series, The Hunger Games, one of the many books by John Green, Thirteen Reasons Why, etc.

I'm now reading English books for children.
I read 10 books in the past 6 months.
I found that the same phrasal verbs weappeared repeatedly onin those books.
The meaning is slightly different, but this makes more sense to me. "That" probably isn't strictly necessary but it sounds better to me if it's there in this example.
Also, I found that those were used in fixed meanings respectivelyrelatively few senses.
For example, "take up" has more than 10ten meanings oin my dictionary, but oin these books I read, it was used with only in a few meanings.
These books are for children around the age of 10.
To emphasize that you're referring to the books that you're reading.
If I read books for adults, I might see these phrasal verbs inused with other meanings.
I have more 5five books for children to read.
Small numbers are usually written out, unless you need to emphasize the number. The exact meaning of "small" is in debate, but 1-10 are generally included.
I plan to read up these books until the end of August.

What you originally had was a run-on sentence, so I split up the first sentence from the rest of them. We can't use "but" at the beginning of a sentence after a period, so I used "however" instead.
You could say "I soon gave up on memorizing them" or "I quickly gave up on memorizing them" but "quickly" sounds better.
I have read 10 books in the past 6 months.
It would either be "I have read 10 books in the past 6 months" because "in the past 6 months" indicates that the time was continuous.
You could also say "I read 10 books in 6 months" because taking out "in the past" makes the time finite.
