"Architecture" means the design of buildings and other such constructions. It isn't used to refer to the actual objects themselves. So someone might study architecture, so they can design a building.

Kinkakuji Temple is so famous as architecture building that is covered with gold.

"architecture" alone is not quite the right word. You could say "many examples of historic architecture" or "many historic buildings"
