The oldest vehicle I have ever seen is Tuò车(chē).

Back in the seventies, the land was not allocated to every farmer, so every family farmed together.

Our village had a few cattle and horses, in a certain period, even had a few donkeys. We used them to help farmers to farm, for example, plough land, transport crops and farm tools.

When it was time to plough land, farmers put plows, rakes on the tuò车(chē)(sorry, I don’t know how to write the Chinese character Tuò) and then let those horses or cattle pull the Tuòchē into fields.

According to my memory, the tuòchē was made of 12 wooden sticks and no wheels. The sticks were connected by iron nails. After a period of using, the two main long sticks at the bottom touched with ground became particularly smooth.

I really want to find some photos of it on the internet, but there are no any; therefore, I tried to draw one, although I drew badly, it can show overall how it looks.

As I remember, the tuòchē was made of 12 wooden sticks and no wheels. The sticks were connected by iron nails. After being used for a while, the two main long sticks touching the ground became particularly smooth.
