I think I'll never learn japanese.
I do like japanese language, but it's so different of french and the writing system is so difficult that I'm afraid to try to learn it.
I have studied english for a long time and I am still not able to speak it fluently. As japanese seems more difficult to learn than english, I think it would take decades to speak a little japanese.

My sister studies Japanese. She seems to like it, but I don't think she can speak much. Also, she's a high school student, and taking three classes a week is probably not enough to learn any language. I guess you have to be really committed.
