Last evening, I got my second dose for COVID-19. I didn't have any side effects except for muscle pain until I went to bed. At 3 am, I woke up because I had chills, but I didn't have a fever. Then I slept but woke up again at 6 am because I had fatigue and fever. I took medicine and got better after a while. If I have to get vaccinated every year, it will be tough.

Really good writing! Sorry you got sick :(
Another way to say "I had a fever" is "I felt feverish" (if you want to vary your word choice).

I haven't had my second one yet - fingers crossed I don't experience anything similar!
