Darkness

When I was a kid, I was so scared of darkness. I hated the darkness when I was in bed, so I begged my parents to stay beside me or turn on the light. It wasn't only at night. I didn't like the poorly lighted hallway because of the contrast between outside brightness and it. I believed a scary monster lurked in the darkness. This tendency disappeared as I grew up.
