CHALLENGE 5: Future

I would choose the future.
I like the concept of Metaverse by Roblox, which is a parallel world to real life. With technologies such as AR and VR, the real world can be projected into the Metaverse. Now VR is not popular for a large reason is that VR almost only supports stand-alone, can not interact with other people is somewhat boring. And I think the biggest obstacle now is the speed of the network. The same problem is also seen in large games. The download and installation of large games often require very large installation packages. I don't know the exact technology very well, but I think large installers are designed to call up the required content faster to achieve lower delay. If the network is fast enough, many of the technical problems are solved and there will no longer be a need for such large installers.
After solving the problem of low delay, there are two major challenges: immersion and diversity. VR, even MR (Mixed Reality) and XR (eXtended Reality), are still not enough for immersion, so there is the technology of brain-computer interfaces. And diversity is not easy to solve, because it is easy to be monopolized by large companies. But I think blockchain is one of the main ways to solve the problem, because it is a decentralized model to build; but blockchain now also faces the problem of being monopolized by a few big companies.

CHALLENGE 5: Future

I would choose the future.

I like the concept of the Metaverse by Roblox, which is a parallel world to real life.

Just stylistically, it sounds a bit better as "the Metaverse" here.

With technologies such as AR and VR, the real world can be projected into the Metaverse.

Now VR is not popular for a large reason is that VR almost only supportsRight now, a large reason VR is not popular is because VR usually only supports a single-player stand-alone, can experience. Players cannot interact with other people, which is somewhat boring.

There were some grammatical issues with your original sentence.
"VR is not popular for a large reason is that VR..." <-- Not proper grammar, because there are a couple of separate phrases here. (This is a bit confusing.) You can say "VR is not popular, and a large reason is because VR..."
"can not interact with other people is somewhat boring" <-- Not proper grammar, but you can say "being unable to interact with other people is somewhat boring". "[subject] is somewhat boring."

Andlso, I think the biggest obstacle now is the speed of the network.

The same problem is also seen in large games.

The download and installation of lLarge games often require very large installation packages.

I don't knowunderstand the exact technology very well, but I think large installers are designed to callbring up the required content faster to achieve lower delay.

"understand" seems better to use here than "know"

With this sentence in English, even if it's correct, I'm not sure what it means. You might consider explaining it in a different way. A "lower delay" with what?

If the network is fast enough, many of the technical problems are solved and there will no longer be a need for such large installers.

After solving the problem of low delay, there are two major challenges: immersion and diversity.

VR, and even MR (Mixed Reality) and XR (eXtended Reality), are still not enough for immersion, so there is the technology of brain-computer interfaces needs to be improved.

And diversity is not easy to solve, because it is easy to be monopolized by large companies.

Suggestion to help your paragraph flow better, and make it a little more clear (based on my understanding):
"There is also the problem of decentralization(?), because if there were such a virtual world, it would be easy to be monopolized by large companies."

This is a bit tricky, but "diversity" is kind of ambiguous and unclear in English. Diversification of *what* part with VR? My interpretation is that you mean that if there were one VR world, it would be a problem if just a few companies control it. Anyway, this concept might need to be explained a little more.

But I think blockchain is one of the main ways to solve theis problem, because it is a decentralized model to build; but. However, blockchain now also faces the problem ofissue of potentially being monopolized by a few big companies.

Feedback

Interesting journal entry! I think the future of VR has a lot of potential, and it would be really cool to be able to interact with others in a VR world. I would like to see that future, too!

The idea of a VR world on top of a blockchain is pretty fascinating. Also, with the issue of blockchains being monopolized, I think it depends on how the blockchain is designed, right? Future blockchains can learn from problems with blockchains like bitcoin, and they can be designed to be truly decentralized.

Low delay for internet speed
