It depends a lot.

I think you're trying to use "a lot" as an adverb, but it sounds really strange. Not sure why. I would almost always just say "It depends."

In thea book, the only limitation is the author's imagination, so it is easier to build amazing scenarios with fantastics things and most of the time characters have better constructions, but sometimes it is difficult to "enter" in the story because we are not seeing them, we are just imaginating.

Movies are a visual miedia so it is easy for us to create a connection with what is happening, it is easy to understand the story, but this miedia has a lot of limitations like money, places, time, people and many other things that make its buildingcreation very difficult, and sometimes these limitations makes the movie really bad.

So, usually I prefer the books because most of the movies can't show everything that a book can offer, because of itstheir limitations.
