A visit to the library

Today I visit my city's public library. It's been a while since I went to that place. Because of the Covid, the library was closed for more than a year, and just now they are allowing to loan books. I loaned a couple of books. The one I'm more interested in is "The city and the Dogs" by Mario Vargas Llosa.

Hmm I feel like covid is just Covid. Second sentence sounds awkward

I loaned a couple of books.
