A confusion of word phrase

When I was doing my practice book, there's a sentence said " Go to the holiday agency and get a holiday ____". I filled in the blank with "book or advertisement". But answer is"brochure". Could you please explain the reason for me? I think "book or advertisement" is also right.

A cConfusion of word phraseng Term

Term is generally the word used for a common grouping of words that isn't a full phase.

When I was doing my practice book, there's a sentence that said, " Go to the holiday agency and get a holiday ____"."

I filled in the blank with "book or advertisement".

But the answer is "brochure"."

The period is almost always inside the quotation marks. Even if it's marking the end of a sentence that isn't entirely inside them.

Could you please explain the reason for me?

I think "book or advertisement" is also right.

I think it's because 'brochure' is more common usage. It would be rare to hear an English speaker say they're going to pick up a 'holiday advertisement' or 'holiday book' from the holiday agency, and to a native speaker it might sound a bit odd. But it would be very common for someone to say they planned to pick up a 'holiday brochure.' Technically a holiday brochure is an advertisement for a tourism destination and can be a type of book. So in that sense what you answered isn't technically wrong, just not used very often.
