I'm already running out of ideas of journal, so I'm gonna talk about the book I'm reading. I'm currently on "Twilight"(which I mentioned in my journal before), and Ibut the school culture is totally different from Japan. Who on earth would get their own car and go to high school by it?
I accidentally posted this before I had finished writing it. I've now posted a completed version separately.

That is actually somewhat common in high schools in the US! I can see how it would seem strange though lol

If you want to be more succinct you can say "journal ideas"

I would split the sentence because it's kind of two different points that don't really connect by an "and"

I guess it depends a lot on one's circumstances (such as socioeconomic status and one's distance to school), but I did have a few classmates who would borrow a car from their family to commute to school, including some classmates whose parents would buy a new car for this purpose. The minimum age to receive a drivers license and drive without parental supervision is 16 in the U.S. (where Twilight is set). Actually, once my older brother got his license, he became responsible for getting me and a few of my other classmates to school. (You should look up what a "carpool" is if you're unfamiliar with it.) That being said, for public schools, there is also the option to take the school bus.
