my = mon moi = me "good afternoon" is generally "bonjour"; "bonsoir" is rather "good evening". It's pretty variable, but we generally start saying "bonsoir" from 5 or 6 pm on

"Amérique" to refer to the USA is pretty old-fashioned, although it's right; "des États-Unis" would be better "je m'appelle Brendan" would also be more idiomatic than "je suis" to introduce yourself Space before and after % ; : ? ! « »

There are exceptions, but countries generally require articles
