人生で撮影した一番の写真について教えて下さいワンちゃんとのポラロイド（第１部）

家族との日本への旅行を準備するために５ヶ月前に日本語を勉強し始めました。正直に言うと、その頃アニメや漫画や日本の文化に興味が少なかったです。ただ日本人に迷惑をかけないように国語を少しだけ喋れるようになりたかったのです。
でも、２週間の旅行のために５ヶ月の努力をする価値があるか考えました。おまけに、アメリカに戻ってくる後で日本語はどう使うか知らなかったので、日本語を学ぶ気が結局なくなる恐れもありました。それなのに、旅行までの期間は毎日のようにかなりの時間を費やして勉強することになりました。
Five months before I went to Japan with my family, I decided to start learning Japanese. Frankly, I didn't have much interest in anime or manga or Japanese culture or anything of the sort. I just wanted to be able to speak a bit of the language so I'd be less of a burden on the locals.
I did, however, wonder if it was really worth it to spend 5 months of effort for just a 2-week trip. On top of that, I didn't think there would be much use for Japanese once I returned to the U.S., so I was worried that I'd lose my motivation to learn the language after my trip. Despite this, I did end up spending a significant amount of time studying just about every day leading up to the trip.
正直に言うと、その頃アニメや漫画や日本の文化にあまり興味が少なかったです。
ただ日本人に迷惑をかけないように国語日本語を少しだけ喋れるようになりたかったのです。
おまけに、アメリカに戻ってくるった後で日本語はをどう使うか知らなかな（or 分からな）かったので、日本語を学ぶ気が結局なくなる恐れもありました。
