Background Information on the Megami Tensei Series and My Experiences With It Recently, I finished the Famicom RPG "Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei". My experience with the Megami Tensei series is mainly SMT IV, Persona 3/4, and a little bit of Persona 5. Recently, I became interested in the series again. So, I thought to look back at the game series' origins. Though, while this game could be called the start of the series, this is not 100% true. There's a game with the same name developed by Telenet Japan that released earlier. Since it wasn't developed by Atlus, it seems to be mostly ignored... I tried to play it years ago, but it wasn't really fun, so I barely played it. Aside from that, there's an even more true origin... The original "Digital Devil Story" novels of course! It's a pretty complicated history, eh... Unfortunately, I haven't read them yet, so I can't really talk about them. I do have the first two volumes though, so I plan to read them eventually.
