Do you think Al will make students stronger or weaker writers? Explain your reasoning. Education is not learning. It is a system that never meant to be easy. Everyone needs to have their own difficult, personal and uncomfortable journey of reaching their goals in this system. Writing is a skill that can be developed by consuming and creating. It is an art of finding your own voice among others. In my opinion, artificial intelligence has advantages and disadvantages in writing processes. How can AI make students’ writing stronger? There is no denying that a lot of students are struggling with grammar, spelling, vocabulary or finding synonyms. Using artificial intelligence as a tool of correction can actually make our writing better. However, we need to carefully consider the fact that AI, besides corrections can change our writing style. Eventually, it loses our voice and opinion, which is a critical factor in human writing. How can AI make students’ writing weaker? The fact of the matter is - the more we rely on machines, the weaker our writing becomes. Artificial intelligence is always trying to create a perfect text without any grammar or spelling mistakes. However, perfection is not what we need to strive for when it comes to learning, because the real world is everything but perfect. Learning is a very human thing that grows with mistakes and failures. Artificial intelligence does not allow students to find their own opinions and voices in their writing, and like other arts, writing cannot be replaced with a machine that does not have a soul. If you let AI write for you, you are ruining your ability to find your creative voice. A voice that takes inspiration from all the things you’ve consumed, not a machine. AI can be helpful only when we use it as a tool, not as a source of answers.

We need to use “was” here to form the passive voice- With was= It was intended by creators to be difficult. Without was= The system itself had feelings and goals and decided not to be easy.
Eventually, it loseswe lose our voice and opinion, which is a critical factor in human writing.
When you use “it loses” it makes it sound as if AI has physically ‘lost’ our voices, instead it’s more natural to use “we lose” because our voices and opinions belong to us.

Yes, I do use AI, but only when I need to figure out grammar or something I don’t understand. Mostly, I do what feels right
