Because I had a opportunity to DJ last year, because of my friends of DJ. I was confident that I was able to DJ well, however I was so nervous, because it was the first time to DJ for me in front of a lot of people. I could not do my best, and I made many mistakes. From then, I thought that I have to get better my DJ skill. For success at next time, I want to improve my skill.

"Improve" is a more concise way to say "get better".
ForTo success ated next time, I want to improve my skills.
