Report about a cooking course

My progress and experience so far
When I first came to the course, my knowledge about cooking was very limited, since my skills don't go further than preparing a salad, boiling eggs or pasta and warm a takeaway in a microwave. Thanks to this course, I have been currently able to cook the most basic recipes, such as vegetable soups, tomate and carbonara sauces or chickpeas and lentils stews. Moreover, I am now able to handle the most useful and elementary cooking techniques, like preparing a dough for pizza, spaghetti or a cake, cooking a tasty sofrito as a base for a lot of different dishes, such as stews; or a delicious bechamel for cooking any kinds of croquettes you like it.
As regards the teaching methods, I am generally satisfied with most of my teachers, as every subject had a very practical approach, avoiding wastings of time at memorising recipes or learning methods in a theoretical way. I could only complaint about pastry classes. It is completely understandable the severity of the teacher's method in this subject, due to the fact every ingredient should be weighted accurately. Nevertheless, this cannot justify his bad manners at teaching, it is indispensable to be patient at this work.

Suggestions to improve the course
It is true that the course has been focused on easy to cook plates, but also we often used unusual ingredients, which make it impossible this dishes to get into our daily diet. I guess that it would be easy to change them for more common ones.

Conclusion
All in all, is it recommendable this course/do I recommend this course (what option is better?)? It is, whenever you have no idea of cooking, but I suppose it would be boring for those who knows how to cook properly, as most of my friends and relatives.
